Maragall announces his resignation as conseller and will make it effective by the end of the week

In the press conference after the Executiu Council, the government spokesperson, Elsa Artadi, explained that the minister has detailed that this resignation will be effective after the plenary session of the Parliament that will be held this Wednesday and Thursday and in which Maragall plans to intervene , according to the agenda of the plenary.

Artadi has specified that "in the next few days" the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, will proceed to appoint a substitute; under the Government pact between JxCat and ERC, the new conseller must be decided by the latter and formally proposed by the Catalan president.
