The violinist Ara Malikian will receive next year with the presentation of his new album, ‘Petit Garage’, in a performance that will take place on January 1 at Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport.
Ara Malikian’s album (Lebanon, 1968) was created during the pandemic after he had to stop his tour ‘Royal Garage World Tour’ with which he planned to perform in more than 60 countries, according to his communication agency.
The new album is thus born from a transformation process that has turned a world tour through great stages on a personal tour with reduced capacity and that has led him to play in an empty theater in Guadalajara, in the gardens of the Royal Theater in Madrid, walk down the steps of the Plaza de España in Rome and even share a concert with the deceased in the Pantheon of Arocutín in Michoacán, in Mexico.
Experiences that he has captured in the songs of his new album in which Ara Malikian’s own compositions are mixed with tributes to great musicians such as Mozart or emotional songs like “La Llorona”.
A record that, the statement explains, is “a thank you to all those who continue to fight for music, culture, and life”.
From January 1, the first single from the new album, ‘Oro, frankincense and myrrh’, will be available on digital platforms, as well as the presale of ‘Petit Garage’.
