Madrid, Sep 19 (EFE) .- Madrid recovers this Sunday its 20th Outdoor Painting Day at the hermitage of San Antonio de la Florida, a meeting that aims to promote artistic and creative activity through painting and, at the same time, to be “a cultural meeting point” between artists, neighbors and visitors.
It is an initiative of the Area of Culture, Tourism and Sports, which aims to publicize the “magnificent” environment of the hermitage.
In this way, attendees will be able to paint works of free style and technique, whose theme should revolve around this construction, making special reference to Goya’s paintings or the motto of the International Museum Day 2021, ‘The future of museums : recover and reimagine ‘.
The activity returns after the 2020 hiatus, when it was suspended by the covid-19 pandemic, to perpetuate this traditional artistic day to which 15 participants have participated so far.
Participants will be able to carry out their works between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and later the awards ceremony will take place, amounting to 2,100 euros for the first classified, and 1,100 and 800 euros for the second and third, respectively.
In addition, the winning works will be exhibited in the hermitage of San Antonio de La Florida until September 26.
