Madrid es Moda opens a week of events to boost the sector



Madrid, Apr 11 (EFE) .- Madrid es Moda opens today in a big way on the Paseo del Prado in Madrid with an event that combines music and fashion, with which a calendar that is marked with one objective begins: to energize the signature fashion in the capital and publicize their design proposals.

An initiative led by the Spanish Fashion Creators Association (ACME) under the umbrella of Madrid Capital de Moda of the Madrid City Council, which is linked to the closing of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid fashion show.

Madrid es Moda has the participation of established brands such as Juan Vidal, Juanjo Oliva, Leandro Cano, Ana Locking, Devota & Lomba, Dolores Cortés, Teresa Helbig, Reliquiae or Helena Rohner, as well as Carlota Barrera, 44Studio or Dominnico, among others.

Firms that are committed to the “new luxury” based on human equipment, crafts, nearby production, responsible consumption, quality, the recovery of trades and tradition, the organization explained in a note.

“Madrid es Moda” is a platform created to promote the Spanish fashion industry and is also an active member of #rewiringfashion, a global movement that reflects on how the fashion sector could and should work.

This Sunday at 7:30 p.m. the opening event will focus on the Paseo del Prado music and fashion on a stage where 30 models will show the proposals of 10 designers to the rite of the Veintiuno group.

Throughout the week in the MediaLab Prado space there will be presentations and thus it becomes a collective meeting space for designers where they can show their proposals. Performance events will take place in other parts of the city.

Appointments of small format and capacity, under invitation, that will promote local consumption and offer firms the unique opportunity to interact with their clients in a different, “close and safe” way.

This fashion week will conclude with “Made in Spain for Tomorrow”, a series of conferences around the concept of the concept of “made in Spain for tomorrow” where the most prominent protagonists of Spanish fashion will discuss the future of the sector .
