Madrid adds 156 deaths and a spike in infections, with 1,478 more cases

The Community of Madrid has registered 156 deaths from coronaviruses in the last 24 hours, 11 more deaths than yesterday (145), bringing the total number of deaths to 6,724 since the pandemic began, and a spike in infections, with 1,478 new cases. .

According to data provided this Wednesday by the Ministry of Health, the total number of deaths in Madrid has increased by 2.3% and records 36.19% of deaths from COVID-19 in all of Spain, amounting to 18,579.

The number of positives for COVID-19 have increased 3.07% in Madrid, which accumulates 49,526 infected, 27.88% of all Spain (177,633).

More than half of the patients (55.39%) have already recovered from the coronavirus, a total of 27,433, 1,186 more in the last 24 hours.

A total of 10,116 patients are hospitalized for coronaviruses, of which 1,244 require intensive care (ICU), 55 fewer than yesterday, and it is the lowest figure since last March 26.
