And he announces that he has asked his government to study aid for some groups that can not do without the car, taking as reference the one that has launched the Hauts de France region for those who travel more than 30 kilometers a day to go to work.
In the interview, given on the occasion of his tour of various stages of the First World War in the northeast of France during the centenary celebrations, the head of the State addresses the most sensitive issue of political news, the high cost of diesel and the gasoline.
"I assume perfectly that the taxation of diesel is at the same level as that of gasoline and I prefer that fuel be added to the work," he states before pointing out that the price increase at the gas stations is due "70%. % "to the rise of oil in world markets.
Macron insists that they are the ones who complain about the increase in fuel prices and those who "also demand that they fight against air pollution". According to a survey published last week, 76% of French people judge negatively the increase of taxes on fuel because they believe that the priority should be to increase purchasing power, even at the expense of maintaining dependence on oil.
For this reason, 78% say they are in favor of the protest to block roads on November 17, launched by groups of motorists through social networks, which has received strong support in the network and has been associated much of the political opposition to Macron.
