The midfielder of Celtic Brais mendez has been cited by the coach Luis Enrique Martinez to reinforce the convocation of the Spanish selection for the two games that close the qualifying phase for the 2022 World Cup, against Greece and Sweden, pending the status of Mikel Merino, who joins the concentration with discomfort in the ankle and right knee.
As already happened with the list for the final phase of the League of Nations, Brais was called up to replace a teammate, in this case after Yeremy Pino was dismissed, although he was finally unable to play after injuring himself with his club.

He has participated three times with the Spanish team and returns to the squad after the injuries that have diminished the initial summons of Luis Enrique.
