Fourteen provinces of six autonomous communities are today in yellow warning for mists, coastal phenomena and low temperatures, the latter will affect especially the peninsular interior, reports the State Agency of Meteorology (Aemet).
In Aragon, Teruel and Zaragoza are in yellow warning for temperatures that may be between four and six degrees below zero, especially in Albarracín and Jiloca, Gúdar and Maestrazgo and the Iberian Zaragoza. While in Huesca the fog will be generalized, persistent and freezing and will reduce the visibility below 200 meters.
In Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Guadalajara are in yellow warning temperatures between four and eight degrees below zero, especially in La Mancha, Guadiana Valley, Serrania and Parameras de Molina.
In Castilla y León, Ávila, Salamanca, Segovia and Soria are in yellow warning for values that can reach six degrees below zero, especially in the Castilian plateau.
In Catalonia, Barcelona and Lleida are in yellow warning for low temperatures that will be between four and six degrees below zero in the central depression and Pyrenees, and in the second, in addition, by widespread, persistent and probably icy mists that will reduce visibility below 200 meters in the central depression.
In the Community of Madrid, low temperatures put the region in yellow warning by values of four degrees below zero, which will be reached especially in the metropolitan area, Henares, south, west and Vegas.
In the Balearics, Majorca and Menorca are in yellow warning for coastal phenomena with waves that can reach three meters, with north wind and force between six and seven, especially in the Mallorcan Levante, Sierra de Tramontana, north and northeast of Mallorca.
The Aemet warns that with yellow warning there is no danger to the general population, although it is for a specific activity.
