In this sense, he points out that payment must be immediate, with the sole delay of the verification of said award through its payment gateway, and that financial institutions will not be able to make the payment of the award effective without obtaining the documentation and information necessary to comply with the regulations on the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, tax regulations or of any other nature that may be applicable.
In this way, payment will be made by check or bank transfer, at the choice of the graceful person. At this point, Lotteries warns that for their collection they will not be able to force the winner to open any account in said financial institution or charge any type of expense or commission for making the payment.
Regarding the right to collect the prizes of Christmas lottery, highlights that it expires after three months, counted from the day following the celebration of the draw. In other words, the awarded tickets or receipts of Christmas lottery until March 23, 2020, inclusive.
In case of deterioration of the tenth or winning receipt, the client must appear at a Lottery point of sale, fill in the ‘Prize Payment Request’ form, sign it and provide the tenth or damaged receipt, which will be sent to Lotteries for authentication.
For shared tenths, all participants must be identified when collecting prizes equal to or greater than 2,000 euros at financial institutions. In addition, the winners can request a certificate certifying the award for tax purposes.
