'Los landscapes del Palosanto' has its premiere on Three Kings Day

Canary TV premieres The landscapes of Palosanto on the night of the Three Kings Day, a piece that proposes beautiful and impressive images to the soundtrack of Palosanto, the most recent record production of Olga Cerpa and Mestisay. They were recorded in emblematic landscapes and corners of the eight Canary Islands to accompany the musical themes collected in his recent album. The program will premiere tomorrow, Thursday, at 11:15 p.m., and will re-air on Saturday, January 8, at 7:45 p.m.

The popular island interpreter and her group ventured to record in different natural or historical islanders scenes the videographic versionss of the fifteen songs they had released on their new album. A disc that contains guitars and guitarists from ten countries and that could be recorded and released in the middle of the pandemic thanks to the facilities offered by the digital world.

Regarding the singularity of the sound proposal contained in that work, Olga and Mestisay proposed to Televisión Canaria fifteen locations of singular spaces that would be united through Olga's voice and the acoustic accompaniment of guitars and arrangements for that instrument from different sound aesthetics. It was about proposing unique landscapes to that Rosewood.

Two locations were chosen in Lanzaroteis: La Geria and a rural area, surrounded by volcanoes, on the outskirts of the town of Haría. In Fuerteventura the chosen places would be the Águila beach, the Ampuyenta hermitage and an aloe farm on the outskirts of La Oliva. In Gran Canaria They would record in the historic Plaza del Pilar Nuevo, inside the cube of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, and in the Dunes of Maspalomas.

In Tenerife lor they would do it at the El Sauzal Wine House and the Botanical Garden. La Gomera It would host recordings in the Garajonay National Park and in Vegaipala. On the island of La Palma They would move to the Convent of San Francisco, in the capital, and in the Salinas de Fuencaliente. On El Hierro they would record at the Four Corners spot, in the town of San Andrés, and at the Orchilla Lighthouse. And finally they would finish filming in the small Pedro Barba dock in La Graciosa.

The difficulties imposed by the pandemic were overcome thanks to the follow-up of a strict protocol and the reduction of a small production team that was managed looking for a visual craft model that did not detract from quality. The script, the selection of locations and the artistic direction of the program have been carried out by Manuel González and the videographic production was signed on Gran Canaria filmmaker Gino Maccanti.
