Lifeless climbers Daniele Nardi and Tom Ballard at the Nanga Parbat


Italian authorities have reported on Saturday the discovery of the bodies of climbers Daniele Nardi and Tom Ballard, who were missing while climbing the Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak in Pakistan.

The Italian Nardi and the British Ballard died after having reached an altitude of 5,900 meters, as confirmed by the Italian ambassador in Pakistan, Stefano Pontecorvo, from his official Twitter account.

Nardi and Ballard lost contact with the base camp on February 24 in an attempt to crown the peak of 8,126 meters. Precisely in the Nanga Parbat gave by dead in summer of 2017 to the Spanish Alberto Zerain and the Argentinean Mariano Galván, after a dangerous ascent.
