Javier Aguirre, 60, is a new coach of Leganés until the end of this season, as officially announced by the Madrid club. The Mexican is the third coach who directs Leganés during this campaign and replaces Luis Cembranos, who will return to the subsidiary after taking over the last three games on an interim basis after the departure of the Argentine Mauricio Pellegrino.
Aguirre faces his fifth stage in Spanish football after previously taking charge of Osasuna, Atlético de Madrid, Zaragoza and Espanyol. At 4:30 p.m. he will direct his first session at the Butarque Sports Facility, in whose press room he will be presented this Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
The Mexican faces a tough task, to refloat a team with a broken wardrobe and only 5 points out of 36 possible in the first 12 days of the League.
