The relatives of Professor Laura Luelmo ask the media to stop doing "a show" of the death of the young woman and that "avoid polemics, speculations, emissions and public comments that only aggravate "the anguish and pain they feel for what happened.
"Please, we appeal to your feelings and to your compassion: Leave it now !!", they claim in a statement distributed by the family's lawyers.
The parents claim to have felt comforted in their suffering by the "wave of demonstrations of support, encouragement and strength that such a wild and meaningless act has awakened in society" and they thank "from the heart" all the people who have contributed "their work, their generosity, solidarity or effort" to make the pain "more bearable and we can, as soon as possible, cry in the privacy of our terrible loss".
However, the statement stresses, the parents of the young teacher ask media professionals to do their job "without contributing to increase this pain, which is exacerbated by the wait and it increases exponentially when, under the pretext of the right to information, other rights are violated ".
This is how they remember the "right to privacy, honor or protection of personal data of our beloved daughter, our family or our relatives".
They also reproach the speculations and that some reemit and publish "until the satiety tragically lived and suffered by our daughter, abounding in details that make us constantly 'revive' what happened. "
All this, details the statement, prevents them from starting the duel and only contributes "to increase the anguish of waiting".
Therefore, the parents of Laura Luelmo appeal to the feelings and compassion of the media and ask please "Leave it now!! Stop making our daughter's death a show, avoid polemics, speculations, emissions and public comments that only aggravate our anguish, lengthen our wait and increase our pain. "
