Today there is a Council of Ministers, the first meeting of the Government after learning this Monday that the telephone numbers of the president, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, had been infected with the Pegasus program in May and June 2021. The Executive alluded to an "external attack" unrelated to state agencies and "that does not have state authorization." The attack again calls into question the work of the CNI and behind it, the right points to Sánchez's opportunism. The independence movement, meanwhile, insists on an "independent investigation."
United We Can and the pro-independence formations are going to try this Tuesday for the Board of Spokespersons to define the date of the debate in the Plenary for their proposal to create an investigation commission on espionage on leaders. For its part, Ciudadanos is going to present a battery of questions about the security protocols that follow the communications of the members of the Government.
