The Government and the National Committee for Road Transport they reached an agreement this morning which includes a reduction of 20 cents per liter in fuel until June 30 and measures for a total of 1,050 million euros for the sector.

Carmelo González has expressed that from the National Committee of Road Transport, they cannot call off the strike, since they did not call it, but that they trust that "common sense prevails", in order to be able to function again "for the good of the sector and from the country".
Asked if they had already found the details that they did not have on Monday, González said yes and pointed out that, although "as in any negotiation" they have not achieved everything they wanted, they are "satisfied": "It allows us to see with some optimism for the future of the sector”, he underlined, to add that they will continue fighting from now on for points such as abandoning the activity or supporting drivers of a certain age.
Finally, regarding the non-presence of the National Platform for the Defense of Transport in the negotiations, it has indicated that "the National Committee is a regulated body in the transport system" and that the so-called platform "did not stand for election, for which is not democratically represented”.
