Las Canteras closes the year with three tournaments - La Provincia

Several of the best players in the national tennis-beach ranking compete the last four days of 2019 at the beach of The pits. The ApPROBA Beach Tennis Club culminates the year with the ITF Suzuki Beach Tennis New Year's Eve Tournaments 2019, which are held between December 28, 29, 30 and 31 in several courts mounted on the sand of the beach at the height of the Cristina hotel.

The organization takes into account the Christmas dates and on the 31st the competitors will wink at the end of the year party to underline that the exceptional Canarian climate allows a beach competition to be held in the middle of December.

The three tournaments score on the ITF Beachtennis World Tour World Circuit, and with them the calendar of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is closed.
The first of the official tournaments is held on December 28 and 29. The female double and male double categories compete, in addition to the absolute mixed, sub 13 and mixed categories for those over 45.
The other two tournaments take place on December 30 and 31, respectively.

In addition to Canarian athletes, players from Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Melilla, Morocco and other European countries, such as Italy, compete.
The competitive level will be very strong with the participation of several Top 100 of the World Ranking, among whom will be the Grancanarias champions of Spain, Grimanesa Santana and Omaira Farías, as well as the islander and national champion, Saulo Tejada.

The organization is carried out from the ApPROBA Beach Tennis club and has the sponsorship and collaboration of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the town hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Suzuki, La Oliva Restaurant, Juicy Avenue, Naviera Armas, Decathlon and Mist fountain.

These tournaments will be the prelude to the ITF Beachtennis Gran Canaria 2020 Tournament, from May 12 to 17, one of the most important tournaments on the world circuit and which will have the best players in the world in Gran Canaria.
