The councilor of tourism of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Pedro Quevedo, and the Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, I nés Jiménez, today they will deliver the collection obtained by the visits to the Bethlehem of Sand of Las Canteras, that will be destined to the social dining rooms of the city. The Bethlehem of Sand, that had surpassed the 200,000 visitors the past day 1 of January, closed yesterday its doors after becoming already everything an icon of the Christmas of the capital. Not only because of the number of people who come to see him at Las Canteras, but because of the thousands of reproductions through social networks. The ephemeral biblical scenes of the birth of Jesus have been made in this thirteenth edition by eight artists from six countries. The City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, through the councils of Tourism and City of Sea, and the Cabildo de Gran Canaria with the Tourist Board have collaborated in the promotion of this unique birth together with the Obra Social La Caixa, Bimbo Spain, Eidetesa and Binter.
