'La ciudad oculta' by Víctor Moreno, best Canarian film of the Festival - La Provincia


The film 'The hidden city', by director Víctor Moreno, has achieved Richard Leacock Award for Best Feature Film within the Canarias Cinema section of the 19th International Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The jury (the cultural manager and filmmaker Andrea Guzmán Urzúa, the executive producer and programming coordinator of the Márgenes Festival, Annamaria Scaramella, and the film critic, Manuel Zapata) highlighted that with his film Moreno "he immerses us in a trip to the bowels of civilization through an impeccable aesthetic proposal, of an outstanding care and neatness, where a powerful sound treatment stands out ". The prize is endowed with 3,000 euros for its director. One was also granted special mention to 'In search of Oscar', by Octavio Guerra.

The Richard Leacock Award for Best Short Film, worth 1,500 euros, has gone to a work presented by Pablo Fajardo, '300 All Inclusive'.

Finally, the Canarian audiovisual production company Digital 104 delivered the distribution prize to 'My salsa teacher'. This short film by Rafael Navarro Miñón will have a strategy of international distribution, advice, management, inscriptions and deliveries to national and international festivals by Digital 104 Film Distribution for a year.
