The Board of Trustees of the Auditorium and Theater Foundation (AT) of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has renewed Tilman Kuttenkeuler in his position as general director for five more years, so he will continue to lead the main scenic spaces of Gran Canaria, the Auditorium Alfredo Kraus and the Pérez Galdós Theater, until next year 2026.
Kuttenkeuler expressed yesterday “great joy” for his re-election and “my enormous gratitude to the Board of Trustees of the Auditorium and Theater Foundation for their support.” “I have done this job with great enthusiasm in recent years and I will continue with this project with even more enthusiasm,” he said in a telephone conversation.
Kuttenkeuler (Munich, 1969) was unanimously appointed as general director of the AT Foundation by the Board of Trustees in February 2016 through a public competition in which 16 applicants competed. Then he took the witness from Luis Acosta, after 15 years in office.
Before taking the reins of the Foundation, Kuttenkeuler held the management of the Fundación Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria (OFGC) between 2009 and 2013, which he left at the end of that year to become manager of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.
“I will continue with this project with even more enthusiasm”, declares the CEO

In this regard, it should be recalled that Christian Roig Puig denounced Karel Mark Chichon, artistic director and head of the OFGC, for alleged workplace harassment, whose proceedings are still pending judicial resolution. In addition, Roig sued on February 25 against Antonio Morales, president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and, for three months, of the OFGC Foundation, for workplace harassment, moral integrity, right to honor and image, judicial action that is turned into an extension of the previous lawsuit, undertaken at the end of October 2020. Finally, Karel Mark Chichon continues as director of the OFGC.
