The mobile application has been created by the Sevillian company Nomad Garden with the support of the City Council of the capital of Gran Canaria.

CANARY ISLANDS7 The Gran Canarian palms

The history of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is extremely linked to Guiniguada. And it is that Juan Rejón chose his slopes to found in 1478 the original population known at that time as Real de las Tres Palmas. In fact, until not so long ago, the waters of the ravine meandered through the city which, within the framework of the 544th anniversary of its birth, delves into its origins with
'Kleos Guiniguada'.

It is a
mobile application created by the Sevillian company Nomad Garden that focuses on the historical and natural wealth of the area through a sensory experience that delves into the past, the culture, the sounds, the aromas and even the flavors of the enclave, in whose bowels it proposes a walk from
this friday and until sunday.

It is a
Choral artistic work financed by the Capital City Council that seeks to value the essence of a space in which more than
20,000 specimens of 160 plant species different, only in the 6.4 kilometers from the beginning of the lower course of the Guiniguada, in Fuente de Morales, to its borders with the city in
The Pambaso (Vegeta).

In this section, precisely, the project is focused, which also has a web application
(Guiniguada.gardenatlas.net)as explained this Thursday in the Miller room by the Councilor for Culture,
Encarna Galvan and the architect and urban planner of the Andalusian company,
Sergio Rodriguez Estevez.

Multidisciplinary team

Together with the architect Salas Mendoza Muro and the geographer and environmentalist Francisco José Pazos García, this professional leads the multidisciplinary team in which there are also
biologists, botanists, historians or computer scientistsamong others, who began to study the ravine basin in depth just one day after its 'older sister', the app
'Kleos Dramas'will be launched in October 2020.

As a result of this collective and meticulous work, the new digital platform that can be downloaded from this Friday on
Android and iOS, It will allow to visualize a very special map of the ravine that will have images and information about the history and characteristics of the different botanical and heritage resources of the natural enclave to which a musical composition has also been linked, again the work of
Ruben Alonso Mallenfrom the company Antropoloops.

Gastronomy

As far as the sensory experience is concerned, 'Kleos Guiniguada' goes a step further with a proposal that contemplates the gastronomic initiative that, under the name of
'Picnic'will bring together the six delicacies that
Dana Joher, from Ave Pastelería Artesanal, will prepare for the occasion.

He too
perfume that Jesus Herrera has devised with his company the Casa del Perfume Canario, or the original caps of the bottles that house the fragrance designed and printed in
3D ceramic by Adriano Jiménezfrom Trianera of architecture.

Similarly, students and professors from the ULPGC School of Architecture have designed
six ephemeral installations which can be seen in situ until June 12.

the ravine, its
history, its 'dwellers' and even their physiognomy inspire these creations planned for the premiere of the application, to whose content they are also closely linked.

Both on the web and in the app you can find
mapped more than 20,000 specimens from 160 different plant families and mostly endemic, although there is the presence of species from other sources. Its origins, its time of flowering or harvest,
the CO2 they produceas well as the aromas or allergies that they generate, are the data that can be known through the platform that also has delicate illustrations on the different types of vegetation.

Developed by
Nomad Garden and Datrik Intelligencethis digital mapping allows the walkers of the ravine to consult in a geolocated way information about the plants, as well as the issues that are addressed along the section selected for the initiative that also aims to involve the public.
