Juventus officially confirmed on Wednesday the assignment of Argentine Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea English until the end of this season, after the 'Pipita' began the course, also on loan, at Milan.

"Juventus announces that it terminated the agreement with Milan in advance of the cession of footballer Gonzalo Gerardo Higuaín and that it also perfected the agreement with the English club Chelsea for the temporary assignment until June 30, 2019", reads the official statement published by Juventus, who still stopped the record of the Argentine striker, 31 years old.

"The contract provides the faculty for Chelsea to extend the duration of the assignment until June 30, 2020, in exchange for 18 million euros payable in the 2019-20 academic year, or signing the player definitively for 36 million euros of euros payable in two installments, "added the Turin club.

Higuain, who was not called by Milan in Monday's visit to Genoa before the storm generated by his imminent departure, leaves the Milanese team after six difficult months, in which he scored only six goals in fifteen Serie A games (Primera Division).

In London, Higuain will return to work with coach Maurizio Sarri, with whom he has a particular emotional bond since they met in Naples. With Sarri, the Argentinian signed the absolute record of goals in a season of Serie A, scoring 36 goals in the 2015-2016 academic year and improving the previous best record, which belonged to Swede Gunnar Nordahl since 1950.

The substitute of 'Pipita' in Milan will be the Polish Krzysztof Piatek, signed this Wednesday from Genoa. The new Milan striker signed a brilliant start to the season, with 13 league goals and six in the Italian Cup
