The visits to the former vice president of the Generalitat Oriol Junqueras in prison they do not stick to their personal and political environment. Good example of this are the appointments that the head of ranks of ERC held on Monday with two representatives of the employers and state unions: the president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), Juan Rosell; and the general secretary of UGT, Josep Maria Álvarez.
Junqueras – imprisoned from the past more than 11 months ago accused of alleged crimes of rebellion and embezzlement as a result of the 1-O-, he was able to dialogue with the two economic agents in the Penitentiary Center of Lledoners (in central Catalonia).
Álvarez -for 26 years as General Secretary of UGT in Catalonia- has repeatedly asked for the prisoners' freedom to open a new stage of dialogue. In fact, he participated in the demonstration by the prisoners last April in the Paral·lel of Barcelona. Rosell has always been more critical – for 16 years president of the Catalan employers association Foment del Treball – who has censored the you procés and its consequent flight of companies.
The visits of Rosell and Álvarez are added to others of various political signs that have already passed through Lledoners, as the lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu; the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau; or several MEPs like this Monday the leader of the group of the Greens in the European Parliament, Ska Keller.
