Santo Domingo, Dec 20 (EFE) .- The Dominican Juan Luis Guerra announced this Sunday on his social networks the premiere of his new album, “Privé”, on the coming December 25 through national television and the digital platforms of the artist.
The singer-songwriter will perform for the occasion, together with his band 4-40, “three emblematic songs and two from his new production,” said the author of “Bubbles of love” through his Instagram account.
Guerra will be presented on television at 9:00 p.m. local time on Christmas Day (01:00 GMT on Friday).
“This is something we always wanted to do, play new versions and songs with guitar in hand in an intimate setting and surrounded by friends. I hope you enjoy it,” said the singer-songwriter in a promotional video.
The television program will feature the participation of “some personalities” who will have the responsibility of exclusively presenting a “memorable audiovisual show that will show the magic and poetry” of the new songs in this new production by Juan Luis Guerra.
Guerra’s previous album was “Literal” (2019) which included hits such as “Kitipún”, “Corazón enamorado”, “I love you more” and “Lamp pa’mis pies”.
The multi-award-winning artist starred in two videos promoting tourism in his country last November.
The audiovisuals, in Spanish and English, are part of the Caribbean nation’s strategy aimed at gradually recovering the most important sector of its economy, collapsed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Actions like those carried out by Juan Luis today, invite us to dream of a better tomorrow, which will only be possible if we all build it together,” said the Dominican president, Luis Abinader, after distinguishing the award-winning singer-songwriter as an honorary ambassador of the Dominican Republic Country Brand.
