Jennifer López lands in Gran Canaria to start filming 'The Mother' this Monday

The diva from the Bronx traveled aboard a Bombardier from the VistaJet company, which departed from the Teterboro airport, in New Jersey, shortly after seven in the morning, local time in the North American state. It is a luxury plane that offers all kinds of comforts and has a bed, an office and a sofa. This private aircraft has as its ambassador the Spanish golfer Jon Rham, current number one in the world.
Filming begins this Monday and will last until March 19 at night. The recording will take place for three weeks in the absence of confirming two pending sequences, which would mean a few more days on the island of Gran Canaria, where the preparation and pre-production of the feature film has been carried out since January.
LThe preparations were resumed on February 15 after the disembarkation by the artistic team. This has been the second time that the project has been undertaken after preparations began in Plaza Cairasco, Alameda de Colón, the Literary Cabinet and the Hotel Madrid on January 6. However, just a few days later, on January 9, it was suspended due to a massive spread of coronavirus that led to a delay in the filming plan.
That event taught the team a lesson, since the shocks in this type of production cost thousands or millions of euros. Suddenly, it now has a mega anticovid device and a specific department within the set to control possible infections. In this sense, Gran Canaria continues to be the island with the highest incidence of the virus and, in fact, it is the only one that remains at alert level 4 despite the fact that active cases have fallen below ten thousand, for the moment.

Some of the curiosities that surround this Hollywood landing, orchestrated by the Netflix platform, is that the American production has spent more than two thousand euros chartering a ship from the south of the Iberian Peninsula, specifically, Malaga, to bring all kinds of vehicular. Included in that skirmish are the luxury caravans of the stars and the nine-seater Mercedes vans that will serve to transport the workers, as well as makeup and hairdressing trucks, costumes and portable toilets.
