San Juan, Jun 15 (EFE) .- Puerto Rican urban music singer Jay Wheeler was nominated for the first time for Premios Juventud, one of the most important awards ceremonies in the Latin music industry, according to a statement released this Tuesday.
"If they had told me 2 years ago that this would be happening, I think I would not have believed it. I'm still that boy who cries in front of the crowd, incredulous of the support he receives daily. I thank my fans for this moment," Wheeler commented on this new step in his career.
Jay Wheeler was nominated in the category "The New Male Generation" and the statement highlights that the singer has positioned internationally for songs such as "Curiosity", along with urban star Myke Towers, and his album "Platonics" continues to be a trend in digital platforms.
The annual Premios Juventud ceremony will take place on July 22 through Univisión screens, and, as every year, the followers of the artists will be able to vote for their idols through the web portal: www.premiosjuventud.com .
