Japan's GDP contracted by 1.2% year-on-year between July and September

Japan's gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 1.2 percent year-on-year between July and September, mainly due to the impact of natural disasters on domestic consumption and exports, the government reported today.
In the third quarter of the year, the third world economy contracted 0.3% in comparison with the April-June period, according to data published by the Cabinet Office of the Asian country.
During the second quarter of the year, the Japanese GDP had advanced by 3.0% year-on-year and by 0.8% with respect to January-March, according to the revised data of the Government.
