James Rhodes visit 11 Spanish cities on a tribute tour to Beethoven - La Provincia


The pianist, writer and commentator James Rhodes will visit 11 Spanish cities, from February to May, during the 'Piano Tour 2020' tour with which the artist wants to pay tribute to composer Ludwig van Beethoven on his 250th anniversary, Sold Out reported.

The program of 'Piano Tour 2020' offers a 90-minute recital with the interpretation of Sonata Number 15; Sonata Number 27; and Sonata Number 21.

James Rhodes' passion for music turns his concerts into a "immersive experience" that brings classical music to all kinds of audiences.

The pianist has performed around the world in cities like Chicago, Medellin, New York, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Vienna. In Spain, it has already given more than 50 concerts and has sold more than 60,000 tickets not only in traditional settings, but also by adding such unique environments as electronic or pop music festivals.

Rhodes is also the author of, among other books, 'Instrumental. Memories of music, medicine and madness', memoirs he published in 2015 and has sold more than 100,000 copies in Spain.

Currently is collaborator in the 'Late Motiv' program by Andreu Buenafuente and Javier del Pino's program at Cadena Ser. Also, write a monthly column for El País Semanal.

To improve laws that protect children, the artist is Ambassador of Save The Children, with which he has succeeded in making the Government "collaborate to improve obsolete laws, thus positioning Spain in the number one country in child protection."

During the 'Piano Tour 2020' tour, Rhodes will perform in stages of Vigo, Girona, Barcelona, ​​Ferrol, Tenerife, Pamplona, ​​Bilbao, Gijón, Granada, San Sebastián and Santander.
