Ireland is one of the main centers of innovation in Europe. Thanks to a cocktail that mixes competitive taxation with government and private support for the development of a digital economy, the country has created in a few years a ecosystem where multinationals coexist with thousands of startups in Dublin. Attracted by a low corporate tax of 12.5%, Google, Facebook, Amazon and other large companies have established their European headquarters there, which has helped transform the island into a kind of startup shuttle where about 20,000 new companies are created each year. It is the second European country (only surpassed by Iceland) with the highest number of emerging technology companies per capita.
