The Internal Affairs Division (DAI) of the Mossos d'Esquadra has cited to declare to riot agent that on December 21 he replied to a rural agent who protested against the holding of the Council of Ministers in Barcelona with the phrase: "The republic does not exist, idiot".
As reported by the Central Union of Trade Unions and Officials (CSIF) on Wednesday, the agent of the Mossos d'Esquadra riot unit has been summoned to testify before Internal Affairs next Monday, February 18.
Buch already announced that the case would be investigated, not because of the meaning of the sentence, but because of the insult
A video that went viral on social networks captured the moment of a verbal confrontation between an anti-riot agent who integrated the security device of 21-D with a pro-independence member of the Agents Rurals of the Generalitat that was demonstrating. The rural agent urged the mosso to defend the Republic, to which the latter replied: "What a republic or what the hell. The republic does not exist, idiot. "
The Departament d'Interior, through its conseller, Miquel Buch, announced after that incident that the Mossos would study the performance of the anti-riot agent, not for pronouncing on the existence or not of the republic, but for the insult he directed at a demonstrator.
