Instagram introduces voice notes for the first time - La Provincia
The social networkInstagramhas introduced for the first time in its application a function that allows its usersexchange voice noteswith other people, something that is possible to do through the Instagram Direct section.
The voice message function is already available in thelatest stable versionof Instagram, in both iOS and Android devices, and was announced this Monday by the company through its official Twitter account.

The new feature is presentin the direct messages sectionof Instagram. It works through a new button with the icon of a microphone in the lower bar of conversations.
Its operation is similar to that of applications such asWhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, and the messages are recorded by pressing the audio button and sent in the conversation when you release it.
Instagram audio messages are kept in the chat once heard, and are displayed along with a timeline and a play button that allows you to listen to them again. Like the rest of direct messages,it is possible to eliminate themafter sent or report the received.
