Instagram has news: try a function called ‘latest publications’ – La Provincia

The social networkInstagramis testing a function called‘latest posts’so that users can view the images and videos of the accounts they follow in chronological order.

This new function will appear as amessage when opening the application, notifying the user that he has pending publications of accounts that they follow.

According to images published by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong on her Twitter social network account, two options will appear in the message:“see posts” or “not now”. By choosing the first option, the new function will open.

So far there are no more details about this function that the social network is testing and it is unknown if it will finally reach users.

In 2016, Instagram announced changes in the algorithm that sets the order of the posts in the feed, placing those firstcontents that could be of more interestfor the user. However, the measure generated discontent among the community, which regretted that the chronological order of the ‘posts’ was lost.

Two years later, the company announced that it would show recent publications in the top positions of its ‘feed’, but nothing was known about it again.
