The Audiencia Nacional judges from today on Alejandro GR, of the producer Resistencia Films, accused of an offense of glorifying terrorism for publishing videos praising a member of the Grapo, some facts for which he faces a fiscal request of 2 years and 1 day in jail.
The trial will begin at 10.00 am before the fourth section of the Criminal Chamber for some facts that, according to the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office, occur since the beginning of the production company in June 2014, when it began to broadcast videos in different social networks.
The producer, says the prosecutor, is described as a "channel dedicated to audiovisual material from reports, documentaries, video clips and shorts", but was dedicated to publishing videos praising the terrorist band.
Specifically, it has generated 92 videos of own production published in open and that have accumulated hundreds of thousands of reproductions and thousands of followers. Many of these videos, says the Prosecutor's Office, "have an exalting eagerness" from the Grapo and make "continuous" allusions to the band.
The public prosecutor asks for the accused two years and one day in jail (to impose this penalty would enter prison, being more than two years), as well as a fine of 4,800 euros, absolute disqualification for time of nine years and three more years of probation.
