A nursing employee at the prison in Huelva has been released with precautionary measures after being detained by the National Police for its relationship with the poisoning of six officials of this prison last November, according to Europa Press confirmed police sources.
The holder of the Court of Instruction number 2 of Huelva he imputes two crimes for injuries and against public health, as has been advanced by 'Huelva Información', which points out that the research focuses on "professional jealousy" as the cause of the poisoning using a substance identified as methadone.
Investigators believe that this nurse, who had access to the prison pharmacy, aspired to access a position held by a partner. Other attempts of similar intoxications occurred prior to November are also investigated.
The judge has dictated the freedom of the nurse, who was stopped at the end of last month, with the obligation to appear before the courts on the 1st and 15th of each month.
Police sources consulted by Europa Press have reported that the investigation remains open although the proceedings are well advanced. The General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions opened a parallel investigation to clarify the case.
