IESE will invest 52 million in expanding its headquarters in Madrid with a new building | Economy



The Spanish business school IESE Business School It has begun the expansion works of the campus it has in Madrid, which will be doubled in two years, with an investment of 52 million euros, as assured by its dean, Franz Heukamp. The center for training managers has remained small, said Heukamp, ​​and with the 16,300 square meters of new construction will be equipped with five new classrooms and a large auditorium, so that it is a meeting place for 15,000 of the 40,000 alumni that the institution has in Madrid. IESE will face a third of the investment, the rest, says the dean of the business school, "will be raised between employer and alumni."

The institution aims to hire 25 professors (the same number that it currently has) to respond to the growth it expects. To begin with, the next course the business school will launch a new Master in Management intended for recent graduates that will cost 37,500 euros. IESE will obtain revenues of almost 110 million euros in 2018, close to 4 million more than in the previous year. The new building will increase the teaching and research activity by 50%, and will offer a meeting space for the more than 15,000 alumni of the capital.

The new facilities, which will be inaugurated in September 2020, will have four new classrooms, a multipurpose high-tech classroom, an auditorium for more than 500 people and a parking of more than 300 places in a landscaped environment of 6,000 square meters.
