Iberia’s parent company suffers losses of 5,567 million until September due to the impact of the pandemic



International Consolidated Airlines (IAG), parent group of Iberia and British Airways, suffered losses of 5,567 million until September compared to gains of 1,814 million in that period of 2019. The results of the airline group were impacted dragged by traffic restrictions air and international travel to stop the coronavirus pandemic.

Revenues for the third quarter were 1,239 million euros, 82.9% less than the 7,266 million in the same period of the previous year.

“Results for the nine-month period were significantly affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, which has had a relevant global effect on the airline and travel sectors, particularly from late February 2020 onwards and without immediate signs of recovery ”, indicates the company in the communication sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
