Iberia and Globalia negotiate the termination of the purchase of Air Europa

Iberia and Air Europa are already in "an advanced phase" of their negotiations to "terminate" the agreement by which the first airline intended to take over the second, initially for one billion euros and, after the pandemic, for five hundred million.
This has been confirmed this Wednesday by Iberia's parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG) in a letter to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) in which it explains that it is negotiating the breaking of the agreement reached with Globalia, the group that owns Air Europe, in November 2019. The statement is signed by IAG CFO Stephen Gunning.
