HSBC exits Prisa after selling its 7.89% stake for 52 million

Madrid, Jan 22 (EFE) .- HSBC has left the shareholding of Grupo Prisa, after selling, through an accelerated placement, 7.89% of the share capital of the company it controlled, in an operation whose amount has risen to about 52 million euros, the sale price being 0.93 euros per share.

In a relevant event sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), HSBC has explained that the number of shares sold in the accelerated placement – aimed exclusively at qualified investors – has been 55,890,336, representing approximately 7, 89% of the capital stock of the company.

“After completion of the placement, HSBC Bank does not own any shares in the company,” the entity added in the statement.
