May has given a notable boost to the recovery of employment in this crisis due to the pandemic. The total number of workers reached the level prior to the pandemic, of February 2020, but with differences by sectors. Slightly more than half of the economic activities already exceed the number of workers they had the month before the virus infections broke out. The rest have not yet reached this barrier, although they are approaching it after the good data in May. The sectors that continue to be most affected by this crisis are those most linked to tourism, which has not yet taken off mainly due to restrictions on international mobility. As for the autonomous communities, the same thing happens, the ones that still suffer the most are the tourist areas.
