HiperDino helps to reconcile the choice of hours for its office employees - La Provincia
HiperDino has started to apply a flexible day and bookings on Friday afternoons for employees of the chain's offices since October 28. In this way, the group led by Javier Puga continues to work on the implementation of measures that help reconcile the work, personal and family life of its workers, he said in a statement.
In this way, the beneficiary employees have, from Monday to Thursday, free entry between 08.00 and 10.00; and between 4 pm and 7 pm for departure. On Fridays, they can access their job between 08.00 and 09.00 hours, and leave between 14.00 and 19.00 hours. All this respecting the 40 weekly hours of effective work.
With the implementation of the flexible day, the staff begins to design their own schedule to adjust it to their needs, giving the worker the autonomy and responsibility to manage their performance.
Already during the months of last summer, HiperDino made available to the employees of its central offices the use of the playground of its Miller facilities in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the objective that the children of these workers could enjoy activities while their parents or guardians performed their workday.
After the success of this measure, the company has now decided to continue the service, which allows, as explained by the Director of Human Resources, Olivia Llorca, "to provide parents with the support of minors while they work and also promotes moments of coexistence of families, since, many times, in the dining room of the company at noon you can see children with their parents sharing confidences. "
For their part, store and warehouse workers benefit from the implementation of two days off per week, being pioneers in the sector in their application, underlines the note. In addition, the company studies new application formulas for these two days to facilitate reconciliation even further.
"The improvement in the working conditions of our employees is a priority for the company, since they are a fundamental part of our structure," Llorca said in the statement.
