HiperDino advances in its search for excellence - La Provincia

HiperDino has presented its new fleet of isothermal vehicles for the distribution of home purchases, for which it has invested more than 1.8 million euros. In total, it has acquired 49 vans with efficient cooling systems, which have been designed exclusively for the chain. In this way, we seek to improve the quality of this service both for purchases made in the physical store and for those made through the online supermarket.

The president of the DinoSol Group, José Abraham Domínguez, said that "currently, we serve more than 415,000 orders a year, both purchases made in our stores and in our online sales channel, we believe that this investment is a proposal of added value for the customer, which will be received at home fresh and quality products, even, the same day you make the purchase ".

José Abraham Domínguez also said that "we are working on the launch of a new technological platform for online shopping that allows us to advance and position ourselves better, which will be presented in 2019."

The new distribution vehicles are equipped with three separate cargo compartments: one for frozen products, another for cold products and the third will transport non-perishable products. With this distribution, it is guaranteed that the food reaches the point of delivery in optimal conditions for its consumption, especially in the case of fruits, vegetables, meat and fish, as well as frozen.

Technical characteristics

The adaptation has been made in the vehicles of the Opel brand, specifically, the Vívaro and Móvano models. To do this, they have transformed their loading areas and made changes in walls, floors and ceilings, adding partition walls. In addition, both the storage compartments and the rear doors have been covered with insulating material to limit temperature exchanges, so that the overall thermal transmission coefficient fulfills the function for which it was created.

The isothermal inner lining is made by sandwich panels with 60mm polyurethane insulation (density 40kg / m3), with polyester finish reinforced with fiberglass.

The new cold equipment allows to maintain differentiated temperatures depending on the products that are transported, reaching up to -30 degrees for frozen and +2 degrees as a cold maintainer. This equipment can cool the living quarters in two ways, either with the vehicle running or by electric charge.

Likewise, modular telematics digital thermographs with online assistance have been installed, to obtain temperature records in the different cold and frozen zones, and GPS, to adapt the routes according to the needs of the service.

All vehicles also have parking sensors, bluetooth, air conditioning, electric windows and comfort seats with lumbar support, designed for the welfare and comfort of the personnel in charge of the delivery service.

With the presentation of this new fleet, HiperDino takes another step in its ambitious plan to improve all its facilities and services, which will also continue throughout 2019 with a new online sales channel and the opening and modernization of new establishments .
