Health will analyze the situation of implants with scientists and patients
The Ministry of Health will convene tomorrow a meeting with the scientific societies related to implants and medical devices and patient associations to analyze the situation following the allegations of an international journalistic investigation known today.
According to El Confidencial and La Sexta, an international investigation coordinated by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has denounced deficiencies in the control over health implants, which have caused harm to patients.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health has ensured that Spain has a strict regulation of medical devices control that guarantees citizens the highest levels of health protection.
