The nursing teams of the Canarian Health Service of the Canary Islands have vaccinated 5,840 young people over 18 years of age who have gone without an appointment to the vaccination points set up in Tenerife and Gran Canaria where since Tuesday doses are administered to this group. All scheduled doses for the walk-in slots available each day have been administered.
In order to speed up and facilitate the vaccination process, the Ministry organizes this Saturday and Sunday a new vaccination day without prior appointment at various mass vaccination points in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma and Fuerteventura. For their part, La Gomera, El Hierro and Lanzarote continue this weekend with their vaccination system according to the previous appointment schedules.
In Gran Canaria and Tenerife, vaccination will be aimed at people over 18 years of age, while the days on the islands of Fuerteventura and La Palma will focus on vaccinating residents over 16 years of age.
Each of the authorized sites will reserve a specific schedule and 21,712 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 that will be administered on Saturday and Sunday to the first people who come, in that time slot, to these vaccination points and until the end of reserved stocks.
This system of vaccination without an appointment will be combined with the administration of doses by appointment according to the schedules established for the different age groups that are in the process of vaccination on each of the islands.
Vaccination points without appointment in Gran Canaria
On Saturday and Sunday you will be vaccinated without an appointment from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Expomeloneras and there will be 2,500 doses available each day. On Saturday, at the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, vaccination will take place between 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. and the number of vaccines is 2,500. For its part, Pedro Hidalgo’s fighting ground will vaccinate without an appointment on Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30 to a maximum of 2,500 people.
Vaccination points without appointment in Tenerife
In Tenerife, those over 18 will be vaccinated without prior appointment on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00 both in the Santiago Martín Pavilion, whose vaccine quota will be 4,000 each day, and in the Hospital del Sur, which will have 1,000 available vaccinations up to date.
In addition, on Saturday and Sunday between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., vaccinations will be administered without an appointment at the Fairgrounds (200 doses each day), in the Annex to the Guajara Classroom of the ULL (150 doses each day), at the University Hospital de Canarias (150 doses every day), in Magma (100 doses every day), in the Candelaria Technological Center (Ctcan) (100 doses every day) and in the Casa del Emprendedor de Los Realejos (100 doses every day).
Vaccination point in Fuerteventura
Residents in Fuerteventura over 16 years of age who have not yet been vaccinated may go without an appointment this Saturday from 09:00 to 13:30 at the Puerto del Rosario Conference Center, accessing the building through the side entrance, in front of the Municipal Swimming Pool. At this point, 700 doses of the vaccine will be available.
Vaccination point on La Palma
Residents in any municipality of La Palma over 16 years of age who have not yet been vaccinated may receive the first dose of the vaccine without having to make an appointment by going to the Municipal Pavilion of El Paso between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. it will be 1,000 doses.
At these vaccination points, they must present the health card and DNI / NIE, and the corresponding vaccine will be administered according to their age group, in accordance with the provisions of the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19.
