Health registers a new drop in infections, deaths and hospitalizations due to coronavirus

The indicators of the coronavirus continue to decline in Spain. The Ministry of Health has recorded 14,373 new infections this Tuesday, a figure notably lower than the 20,188 registered last Friday, so the total number of people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic stands at 13,280,557.

By autonomies, the Valencian Community is the one that reports the most cases (2,664), followed by Catalonia (1,750) and Andalusia (1,721).

How is the epidemic evolving and how are we regarding the 3rd wave?

As for the deceased, the Government has added 222 in the last seven days, bringing the total since March 2020 to 111,339.

Hospitalized people stand at 6,043 this Tuesday, a much lower figure than the 6,697 patients registered on Friday. On the other hand, the people who have required admission to the ICU total 392, just one patient less than the 393 on August 5.

Regarding the incidence in people over 60 years of age, the portfolio directed by Carolina Darias also reflects a decrease: from 395.83 cases per 100,000 inhabitants last Friday to 336.05 this Tuesday.
