Health registers 52,218 new cases of COVID and an increase in those hospitalized

The Ministry of Health has registered 52,218 new cases of coronavirus, which brings the total number of infections since March 2020 notified by tests to 12,734,038. In the incidence in people over 60 years of age, the group on which the Government focuses, this stands at 841.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. Since the previous report, it has increased 85 points, from 755.71.

Regarding the deceased, the Ministry led by Darias has added 107 more, which places the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic at 107,906. Of these, 152 have occurred in the last seven days.

In hospitals, as of this Tuesday there are 9,553 people admitted, which translates into a bed occupation of 7.79%. Compared to the previous report, there are 1,348 more hospitalized. In ICUs, there are 433 COVID-19 patients.

Regarding the situation recorded by the Autonomous Communities, Catalonia is the region with the most reported cases, with a total of 2,534,362. It is followed by Madrid, with 1,820,792 cases, Andalusia, with 1,526,648, and the Valencian Community, which registers 1,468,478. till the date.
