The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands today registers 148 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19. The total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 40,585 with 5,679 active, of which 81 are admitted to the ICU and 268 remain hospitalized. In the last 24 hours the death of a 92-year-old woman in Gran Canaria with previous pathologies.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 57.31 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and after 14 days in 105 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife today adds 69 cases with a total of 16,971 accumulated cases and 2,306 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 16,624 accumulated cases, 51 more than the previous day and 2,821 active. Lanzarote adds six new cases with 4,423 accumulated and 265 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 1,664 accumulated cases with 19 cases more than the previous day and 199 active. La Palma adds two new cases and has 400 accumulated and 26 active cases; El Hierro does not add new cases, it maintains its accumulated at 290 and 24 active, of which 18 are migrants and 3 autochthonous cases. These data are being refined, which is why they are not included in this way in the statistical register, which will be updated in the coming days. For its part, La Gomera adds a new case, standing at 213 accumulated and five assets.
To date, a total of 869,149 have been made PCR tests in the Islands, of which 2,647 correspond to yesterday.
