The construction of this new tower of the Maternal and Child University Hospital, which includes two floors below ground and seven high, requires different phases, since current buildings have to be demolished, which will mean relocating the services that until now are provided in these facilities ( laundry, linen, maintenance and warehouses) in other dependencies of the Hospital Complex.
These demolition works will take place over a period of approximately six months, so they could be completed in 2022.
The new Pediatrics tower will be connected to the two hospital buildings already in operation (the Torre del Mar and the original Maternal building), which has meant drawing up an exhaustive project to guarantee the correct physical and technical connection of the facilities, floor to floor. plant.
The second phase of the project, that of the construction of the tower, has an approximate execution period of 16 months, after which the urbanization and the connection between buildings will proceed.
It is estimated that this entire project can be developed in a period of 36 months.
