Health publishes in the BOE the agreement of the Interterritorial Council to close Madrid and warns that it is mandatory

The agreement of the Interterritorial Council that implies closing the mobility of Madrid and other cities with an incidence greater than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants during the last 14 days has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The Community of Madrid chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso threatened this Wednesday with not complying with the order if it was published, claiming that it has no legal validity. "If it were published in the BOE, the next steps would be assessed by the Madrid Community Lawyers", said the Madrid Health Minister, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, on Wednesday.

The document published in the BOE recalls that the agreement "will be mandatory for all autonomous communities and cities that are members of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, regardless of the direction of their vote." Catalonia, Galicia, Andalusia, the Community of Madrid and the autonomous city of Ceuta voted against the agreement, while the Region of Murcia abstained.
