Health notifies 159 cases of COVID-19 and one deceased in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has notified this Thursday 159 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19. The total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 17,946 with 5,128 active, of which 38 are admitted to the ICU and 181 remain hospitalized. In the last 24 hours you have to regret the death of a 73-year-old man in Gran Canaria who remained hospitalized and suffered from previous pathologies. The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 37.52 and at 14 days at 72.35.

By islands, Gran Canaria today adds 31 cases with a total of 8,794 accumulated cases and 1,805 epidemiologically active cases; Tenerife has 6,723 accumulated cases, 116 more than the previous day and 3,182 active. Lanzarote adds 2 new cases with 1,286 accumulated and 70 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 788 accumulated cases with 10 more cases than the previous day and 60 active.

La Palma does not have any new cases and remains with 196 accumulated and 4 active cases; La Gomera does not register new cases either, so its accumulated remain at 93 and 6 active. For its part, El Hierro without new cases, maintains its accumulated at 66 and 1 active.

Until this Thursday, a total of 503,832 have been made PCR tests in the Islands, of which 3,966 correspond to Wednesday, November 4.
