Since the beginning of the alert, the Canary Islands have confirmed 166 positives and two suspected cases

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands
no new cases and also not in monkeypox study since Tuesday. Therefore, from the beginning of the declaration of the
health alert there are 166 confirmed cases, of which 96 were detected in Gran Canaria, 63 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, two in Lanzarote and one in La Palma.

All active cases are having
mild symptomatology and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.

So the cases
confirmed and notified in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today they remain as follows: 66 confirmed cases, 96 in Gran Canaria, 63 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, two in Lanzarote and one in La Palma.

The
protocol of the Ministry of Health classifies cases between probable and suspected depending on whether the patient meets
clinical criteria and epidemiological criteria (probable cases) or if it only presents clinical criteria and in this case it is considered a suspected case.
