Health concludes the administration of the third dose in residences

The 6,201 users of residences and social health centers in the Archipelago already have the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine. As specified yesterday by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, the process began on September 20 and concluded on October 8 in all these spaces, except at the Santa Rita Home, in Tenerife, where it ended this week. The activity now continues among group seven, a group to which the population at high risk of suffering severe clinical pictures of Covid-19 belongs. So far, 6,390 people have been inoculated of the 13,689 who should receive the booster within this group, transplant patients being the first to be called.

Likewise, as agreed last Wednesday at the meeting of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, those over 70 years of age may begin to be summoned in the different communities as of October 25, the date on which the Ministry of Health expects the flu vaccination campaign to start.
